Long format content is King!
Engaging content regardless of length is great content
. A 10,000 word dissertation might be a little long for most purposes, but an article, report, post or review of 2,000 – 3,000 words that has a single topic and is then further broken into sub topics that entertain, inform or provide value to your audience is ideal.
In a recent test we performed, we found an article with 2814 words, 10 original images with alt text, 1x h1 tag, 13 sub headings h2-h4, a table of contents, and 40 relevant links internal and external ranked #1 for a high value keyphrase.
The article was shared socially 1130 times.
So does long format content work? You can be the judge.
